International Nurses Day Staff Spotlight

Happy International Nurses Day! Today, we celebrate the incredible nurses who bring skill, compassion, and heart to every patient they care for. At Allevia Hospitals, we’re proud to shine a spotlight on one of our own: Ella, PACU Manager at Allevia Hospital Epsom.
Ella joined Allevia Hospitals just two years ago as a PACU Nurse, and her journey since then has been remarkable. Her passion for nursing began during a volunteer trip to Samoa in high school, where she saw first-hand the impact that dedicated healthcare professionals can make. That experience set her on a path she’s been committed to ever since.
Over her seven years in nursing, Ella has worked in ICU, paediatrics, occupational health, and PACU. At Allevia, she found a workplace that supported her growth from day one – from preceptor training and infection control leadership to completing her Postgraduate Diploma and now her Master of Nursing.
Last year, Ella received our International Nurses Day Scholarship, recognising her commitment to clinical excellence and her drive to keep learning. This year, she steps into her new role as PACU Manager, where she continues to champion teamwork, high quality care, and the development of others.
When asked what she loves most about Allevia, her answer was simple:
“The culture. The people. Everyone works together for a common goal – providing exceptional care, the kind of care we’d want for ourselves.”
