Dr Guy Fisher is a specialist gynaecologist in Auckland with a focused practice in endometriosis, fibroids, adenomyosis, and complex pelvic pain.
He is the only gynaecologist in New Zealand to have completed both the AGES Advanced Endoscopic Surgery Training Program (AATP) at The Royal Women's Hospital and the Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound (DDU), with advanced ultrasound fellowship training at University College London Hospitals. This allows advanced pelvic ultrasound to be performed during consultation, enabling real-time diagnosis and detailed surgical planning, often reducing the need for additional imaging such as MRI.
Patients are referred to Dr Fisher for persistent pelvic pain, suspected or confirmed endometriosis (including after previous surgery), heavy or abnormal bleeding, ovarian cysts, and fertility concerns where underlying gynaecological pathology is suspected.
Expertise in Endometriosis, Ultrasound, and Minimally Invasive Surgery
Dr Fisher holds AGES Level 6 accreditation, covering complex laparoscopic surgery including deep and Stage IV endometriosis. His combined training in advanced ultrasound and surgery allows for integrated diagnosis and management, particularly in complex and recurrent cases.

Dr Fisher is a fertility specialist at Fertility Associates Auckland, providing integrated care for patients where gynaecological conditions are affecting fertility — including surgical management of endometriosis and fibroids prior to IVF, and coordinated ongoing management through the fertility journey.
Public Hospital Appointment
Alongside private practice, Dr Fisher is a specialist at Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau (Middlemore Hospital), where he is developing and leading a new Gynaecology Assessment Unit integrating acute gynaecology care with point-of-care ultrasound.
