Dr Erica Whineray Kelly
As Allevia Health’s Director of Innovation and Chief Medical Officer, Erica is responsible for leading the organisation’s clinical vision, standards, and system‑wide approach to delivering exceptional patient journeys. She oversees clinical governance and drives innovation across the Allevia Health group, playing a key role in shaping integrated healthcare and enterprise‑wide performance.
Erica brings more than 30 years of clinical and executive experience to her role. A distinguished general surgeon, she was the co‑founder and Managing Director of Auckland Breast Centre, a consultant surgeon and national auditor with BreastScreen Aotearoa, and has held a number of governance positions across the health and community sectors.
Her commitment to professional and community development is reflected in her previous roles as Trustee for Te Tāpui Atawhai | Auckland City Mission and the BBM Trust, and as Chair of the InZone Girls Advisory Board. Erica is also a dedicated mentor to emerging healthcare leaders.
